1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using any part of cv·ai, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

cv·ai is an AI-powered CV tailoring platform that helps users optimise their CVs for specific job descriptions. The service includes:

  • AI-generated CV rewrites tailored to a job description
  • ATS (Applicant Tracking System) score analysis
  • Skills gap analysis
  • Cover letter generation
  • Interview question and answer generation
  • Application tracking

We use third-party AI providers (including OpenAI) to generate content. Output quality may vary and is not guaranteed to result in employment outcomes.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account. cv·ai is not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorised use of your account.

You may not create accounts using automated means or create multiple accounts to abuse the free credit system.

4. Credits and Payments

cv·ai operates on a credit-based system. Credits are consumed when you use AI generation features. The credit cost for each action is displayed before use.

  • Free credits are provided upon registration at our discretion and may be changed without notice
  • Purchased credits are non-transferable between accounts
  • Credits have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money
  • If a generation fails due to a technical error on our side, credits are automatically refunded

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use cv·ai to:

  • Create fraudulent, misleading, or fabricated CVs intended to deceive employers
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the platform or its AI outputs at scale
  • Circumvent access controls or exploit vulnerabilities
  • Use the service in any way that violates applicable law
  • Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes third-party rights

Important: cv·ai is a tool to help you present your genuine experience more effectively. Using it to fabricate qualifications or experience you do not have is a misuse of the platform and solely your responsibility.

6. Intellectual Property

The cv·ai platform, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by cv·ai and protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute it without permission.

Content you provide (your CV text, job descriptions) remains yours. The AI-generated output produced using your content is yours to use as you see fit, subject to the terms of the underlying AI provider.

7. Privacy

Your use of cv·ai is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

8. Disclaimers

cv·ai is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:

  • The service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose
  • Using the service will result in interviews or job offers

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, cv·ai and its owners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of employment opportunities or data.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through your profile settings. Upon termination, your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify users of significant changes via email or an in-app notice.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where cv·ai operates. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, or if necessary, through the courts of that jurisdiction.
