- CV and document content: the CV text and job descriptions you upload or paste into the platform
- Application tracker data: company names, roles, statuses, and notes you enter

- Usage data: pages visited, features used, credit transactions, and timestamps
- Session data: standard web session cookies required for the service to function
- Device data: browser type, operating system, and IP address for security and analytics
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your data to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the cv·ai service
- Process your CV and job description text through our AI system to generate tailored outputs
- Manage your account, credits, and billing
- Send transactional emails (account confirmation, credit receipts)
- Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and security incidents
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your CV content to train AI models.
3. How We Share Your Information
We share your data only where necessary:
- OpenAI: your CV text and job description are sent to OpenAI's API to generate AI outputs. OpenAI processes this under their own Privacy Policy. We use the API in a way that opts out of data training where available.
- Payment processors: when payment features are available, your payment data will be handled by our payment provider (e.g. Stripe) and not stored by us directly.
- Legal requirements: we may disclose data if required by law or to protect our legal rights.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Generated documents and application tracker data are retained to provide the service and accessible in your dashboard.
When you delete your account, your personal data and generated documents are deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
5. Cookies
cv·ai uses essential cookies to maintain your session and keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this will prevent you from using the service.
6. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords, and access controls. However, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
