<p><strong>About the Role</strong></p>
<p>We’re seeking a motivated <strong>Computer Science student</strong> to join our backend engineering team as a <strong>C# Backend Developer Intern</strong>. This is an excellent opportunity to learn backend development while working on real-world educational platforms that support learners, educators, and institutions worldwide.</p>

<p><strong>What You’ll Learn & Do:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Learn backend development using C# and .NET</li>
<li>Contribute to real backend services used in production</li>
<li>Assist in developing and maintaining REST APIs</li>
<li>Work with databases and learn how data is modelled and accessed</li>
<li>Participate in code reviews and learn clean coding best practices</li>
<li>Collaborate with frontend, QA, and product teams</li>
<li>Contribute to backend services supporting learning platform functionality and various integrations</li>
<li>Gain exposure to the full software development lifecycle</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Current <strong>Computer Science / Software Engineering student</strong></li>
<li>Experience with <strong>at least one programming language</strong> (C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, C++, or similar)</li>
<li>Basic understanding of object-oriented programming concepts</li>
<li>Interest in backend development and distributed systems</li>
<li>Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail</li>
<li>Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment</li>
<li>Eagerness to learn and grow as a software engineer</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Good to Have (but not required):</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Basic knowledge of <strong>C# and .NET</strong></li>
<li>Familiarity with <strong>RESTful APIs</strong></li>
<li>Introductory understanding of databases (<strong>SQL</strong> or NoSQL)</li>
<li>Experience using <strong>Git</strong> or other version control systems</li>
<li>Basic knowledge of HTTP, JSON, and web concepts</li>
<li>Interest in educational technology (EdTech)</li>
</ul>

<li>Designing and implementing REST APIs</li>
<li>Working with databases and data access layers</li>
<li>Clean code and basic backend architecture principles</li>

<li>How production backend systems are built and maintained</li>
</ul>

<li><strong>Messaging & Events:</strong> Apache Kafka</li>
<li><strong>Databases:</strong> PostgreSQL</li>
<li><strong>Tools:</strong> Git, CI/CD pipelines, logging & monitoring tools</li>
<li><strong>Testing:</strong> Unit and integration testing</li>
</ul>
