Job Description

This isn’t your regular job. Almedia is a place where those who want to push harder can accelerate their careers faster than anywhere else. We’re aiming to become Germany’s second bootstrapped unicorn. Almedia is already Europe’s #3 fastest-growing company in 2025 (FT1000).

We are building the future of marketing by rewarding our community of over 70 million users for engaging with our advertisers’ products. We are offering a new way to acquire users for the biggest companies in the world.

At Almedia, you’ll:

  • Own way more, way earlier — you’ll be trusted with responsibility fast.

  • Push harder, get further — this isn’t a 9–5. We highly reward intensity.

  • Join a rare environment — you will work with ambitious high-speed, high-ownership people.

  • Fully present — we’re 5 days a week in the office to build the energising momentum we need.

Performance Marketing Specialist

Salary range: €55,000-65,000/annum

We are seeking a high-caliber Performance Marketing Specialist to take full ownership of our Google Ads ecosystem. This is a critical, high-impact role within our centralized User Acquisition department, specifically designed for a technical expert who excels at scaling Search, Display, and UAC (Universal App Campaigns) at a global level. You will manage significant monthly budgets and be the primary architect of our growth strategy on Google, turning complex data into high-performing campaigns that drive millions of users to Freecash and our partner projects. This role demands a "strategic doer"—someone who can build a sophisticated long-term roadmap while remaining deeply hands-on with daily optimizations.

What You'll Do 🎯

  • Own the Google Ecosystem: Take end-to-end responsibility for our Google Ads strategy, managing and scaling massive budgets across Search, Display, Discovery, and UAC to meet aggressive ROI and user acquisition targets.

  • Technical Campaign Excellence: Execute hands-on optimizations, including advanced bidding strategies, deep keyword research, audience segmentation, and structural account refinements to maximize efficiency.

  • Data-Driven Roadmap: Analyze deep-funnel performance data to identify growth levers, translate findings into actionable strategies, and maintain a rigorous testing roadmap for creatives and landing pages.

  • Process Engineering: Build and implement scalable marketing processes and reporting frameworks that allow for rapid decision-making and cross-project transparency within the UA department.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with our Creative team to iterate on high-performing assets and with our Data/Product teams to ensure attribution accuracy and alignment with broader business KPIs.

What You'll Bring 💡

  • Senior-Level Expertise: 4+ years of experience specifically managing large-scale Google Ads accounts, with a proven track record of scaling budgets while maintaining target ROAS/CPA.

  • Platform Mastery: In-depth knowledge of Google’s bidding algorithms, tracking requirements (GTM/GA4), and the nuances of mobile app tracking within the Google ecosystem.

  • Analytical Rigor: Exceptional ability to navigate complex datasets using SQL and Excel to uncover trends that others miss.

  • Hands-on Execution: A history of being a "doer" who takes pride in the technical setup and daily performance of campaigns, rather than just managing agencies.

  • Strategic Agility: The ability to pivot between different projects and goals within the UA department, adapting your Google Ads expertise to meet the specific needs of various internal products.

What Makes You a Great Fit 🌟

  • You are a Proactive Owner: You don’t wait for instructions; you identify inefficiencies in an account and fix them immediately.

  • You are a Systems Thinker: You love building repeatable processes that make scaling easier and more predictable.

  • You are Growth-Obsessed: You thrive on the challenge of hitting ambitious targets and are constantly looking for the next 1% improvement that can lead to massive scale.

Why Almedia? 🎁

  • Own Our Growth: We offer all Berlin-based employees equity in Almedia to truly be a part of our success.

  • Scale With Almedia: Grow alongside a startup that has been profitable from day one.

  • Central Berlin Office: Work from a fully-stocked modern office built for collaboration, accessible from all around Berlin.

  • Other Benefits: Transport subsidy, breakfasts and lunches, language learning, Urban Sports Club, and more.

We believe in fostering talent, evaluating all skill levels during the hiring process, and providing a clear path for growth. Almedia is an equal opportunity employer. We embrace and celebrate diversity, and encourage individuals from all backgrounds to apply.
